Following Your Passion
Hi – And welcome to my beautiful website. Do you have a passion that has never had time to bloom? I am here to tell you that it is Never Too Late and I am the perfect example. One of my passions has always been singing and It’s only in the past few years that I have run with it. Now I am making CDs. I have sung in musicals and I have loved every minute. And I am young at heart (but really a senior citizen). I am even older than my dog, Peach, and she is REALLY an old lady!! Now is the time to express YOUR passion and enjoy every minute of it. Maybe my CD will serve as an inspiration to do so. Remember, you can’t buy memories and it is Never Too Late to make more memories for you, your family and your friends. Come on — run with it and thank you for listening.
Aloha oe. Patty
My Inspiration
Remember the wonderful fragrance of orange blossoms? Remember when there were thousands of orange trees in Orange County? Well I certainly do. My grandparents had an orange ranch in old Anaheim and in their marvelous Queen Anne style house – way up at the top, was an attic – filled with all kinds of things but especially an old wind-up Victrola and boxes of records. As a little girl, probably about 4 and certainly before I could read, I would disappear into the attic and play these old records – wonderful music – and discovered my favorite of all. Do you remember “In Dreams I Kiss Your Hand, Madam”. No? I didn’t think so. Well it was a black label Brunswick and I put a gold star on the label so that I could easily identify it and play it endlessly.
I come from a family of musicians – my father sang and played musical instruments as a member of various orchestras (from the age of 15, I might add); my mother played piano – by ear – as did my uncle, my grandparents and then I came along, took piano lessons and could only read music – not play by ear!! But I could sing. And sing I have to the point where music is in my brain 24 – 7 and sometimes I will have a song in my head and just start singing along out loud for a few bars – then go back into my head – hardly even knowing that I had sung at all until my friends would roll their eyes and smile. Oops. I remember my daughter, Linda, asking me not to sing in the morning because the song would stay in her mind all day. So feeling mischievous one day, I came down stairs and proceeded to sing “How Much Is That Doggy in the Window?”. Enough said.
I have been surrounded by musical theater. Mary Martin lived next door and one day my Mother decided that I should have a singing recital for her and other friends. Well, I loved it and have loved to perform ever since. I used to sing at piano bars – after a bourbon and 7 – and usually knew every song in the book – back then.

I have stumbled across your absolutely delightful website (Thanksgiving week-end 2010). You surely deserve to be on stage! As a former choir member who has sat next to you, I have decided that Christmas will not happen for me if I am not singing in the choir too. Today I am practicing and will hope to see you at rehearsal next week. Thanks for the encouragement. I love music, and my dream to pursue is still Enlightenment.
In love & light from Joan
