Footprints In The Sand – Patty’s Debut CD

Hello everyone!

I want to thank you for visiting my website.  I am so thrilled about all of this!  AND I get such a kick out of my daughter’s enthusiasm, not to mention genius, in putting all of this together.

We have finished the CD and it will be available October 1st.  I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I’ve enjoyed making it.

I love these songs!  Singing them feels like second nature to me – both vocally and spiritually. Like riding a bike.   They are bluesy and torchy – iconic standards that move me deeply with their melodies, lyrics and most especially, with the memories that I so powerfully associate with them.  How marvelous! And at MY age.  Believe me there are LOTS of memories.

In thinking about all these wonderful songs, it was no surprise that Hawaii kept coming up in my thoughts.  Sure enough, I found this photo taken on my first trip to Hawaii in the summer of 1950. That’s the beach in front of the Royal, of course, and a much less developed Waikiki Beach.  It all seemed to tie-in.  You see, these songs are my memories – my footprints in the sand.  Because that’s the wonderful thing about footprints – they follow you wherever you go.
